Types of numbers

Whole Numbers:
All counting numbers together with zero form the set of whole numbers.
(0 is a whole number which is not a natural number)
Every natural number is a whole number.(012345..)are whole numbers.

Integers:
When negative value of natural number are included with the whole number these number
known as integers.
A:Positive integers:All positive integers greater than 0 are known as positive integers(1,2,3,4,5..)
B:Negative integers:All the integers less than 0 is known as negative integers.(-1,-2,-3,-4..)

Even Numbers:
A number which is divisible by 2 is called an even number.(2,4,6,8,10...)

Odd Numbers:
A number which is not divisible by 2 is called an odd number.(1,3,5,7,9...)

Prime numbers:
A number greater than 1 which is divisible by 1 and itself is called a prime number.

Co-prime numbers:
Two natural numbers x and y are said to be co-prime ,if their H.C.F is 1.(2,3)(4,5)(5,6)

Composite numbers:
Numbers greater than 1 which are not prime are call composite numbers (6,8,10,12...)

Real Numbers:
positive or negative, large or small, whole numbers or decimal numbers are all real numbers.(-1,2,-3,3...)

Rational numbers:
rational number is one that can be written as the ratio of two integers.i e  in form p/q.
Ex.5=5/1,10/4

Irrational Numbers:
The numbers which cannot be form p/q is irrational number.Ex pi
